About

I'm a web designer living in the greater Milwaukee area. I'm constantly looking to better myself as a designer, so I dedicate a lot of time to professional development and continuing my education on the latest web design trends and technology.

I started my web career as a web designer for the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. While there, I designed many of the university's pages, and converted existing pages both to use web standards, and be 508 compliant.

As I worked toward my Imaging Media degree at UW-Platteville, I provided freelance web design services for a small company that supplied web services for non profit organizations, including the local habitat for humanity, and a family center focused on bettering impoverished families.

Currently I'm employed at Top Floor Technologies in New Berlin, WI, where I collaborate with other designers and programmers to produce smaller business to business sites for mostly manufacturing companies. I've also produced multiple e-commerce websites using both custom and open source e-commerce applications.

I'm very passionate about producing usable and accessible sites, produced in standards based XHTML and CSS.

Also...

In my spare time (the little I can find) I like to spend my time doing your typical "mid 20's" activities, hanging out with my friends, playing video games, watching movies, etc.

I'm passionate about lessening my impact on the environment, and I'm always trying to be as eco conscious as possible, while still preserving the geek lifestyle I've become comfortable with. I know that through research and effort, we can all make a positive impact on the environment, and the internet is a great way to do this!
